Step 1: Check Device & Get eSIM QR Code
First, make sure your Android device supports eSIM and is running a compatible operating system version. Once you complete your order, you will receive an eSIM QR code from Aviro via email .
You can see if your phone supports eSIM right here .
Step 2: Open eSIM settings & Scan QR code
-
Open Settings > Connections (Connections) > SIM card manager
-
Select Add eSIM or Add mobile plan
-
Select Use QR code
-
Follow the on-screen confirmation steps
Note: You can also select Enter code manually and copy the code from your email if you can't scan the QR code with your camera. Alternatively, you can also select Upload a screenshot of the QR code from your photo library.
Step 3: Name eSIM (optional)
After installation, you can name the eSIM like “eSIM Aviro” or “Travel” to easily distinguish it from other eSIMs installed in your device.
Step 4: Turn on roaming when you arrive
When you arrive in a country that needs to use eSIM, go to Settings > Connections/ Mobile networks , select the eSIM you just installed, and turn on Data Roaming.
Note:
-
Do not enable data roaming before arriving in the country you want to use eSIM in, to avoid early activation which will cause loss of usage time.
-
The eSIM's validity period will be calculated from the time you install the eSIM into the device.
-
Each eSIM can only be installed once , and cannot be restored if you delete it.
-
The photo upload feature from the gallery is only available on Samsung Galaxy S20 and above and some other new Android phones.
-
The interface and operation step names may vary between phone brands and Android versions.
